SGNL: The Sci-fi Gadget everyone's dreamed of!!
We've always dreamed of calling people using our bare hands, haven't we? And we've also seen it in Total Recall movie, well Innomdle Labs has made that a reality. Innomdle which stands for 'Innovation Medley' is the first company ever to spin off from Samsung Electronics.
SGNL is a Smart Band which can be attached any type of watch which you wear daily, be it a classic watch, Apple Watch, Samsung Gear or a Pebble Time, just snap on the SGNL band and call your loved ones through your finger. Now you might be wondering how it works? SGNL receives sound signals from your phone via bluetooth, the received signal is transferred through the Bone Conduction Unit (BCU) embedded in the smart band which generates and transmits vibrations to your fingertips. As it works through transmission of vibrations, there is no risk of harm to the human body. When you place your fingertip to your ear, the vibration echoes to create amplified sound within the closed space of your ear.
The SGNL Smart Band has raised over $2 Million on Indiegogo which is way more than what their goal was. The SGNL band is now available for pre-order on Indiegogo website with 4 different variants ranging from $149 to $409. Shipping is expected to begin in August 2017.
Forget the time you used headsets to take calls, now use your fingertip with SGNL. Here's an overview video:
