A look at the Essential Phone.

The creator of Android, Andy Rubin is back with his first smartphone, Enter the Essential Phone.
Featuring a near Bezel-less design the Essential Phone is absolutely stunning. Forged in Titanium and Ceramic, it should be a really durable smartphone. Even though they have gone bezel-less, they found a way to integrate the front facing camera (Kudos to that!!). At the back, we see the seamless integration of the Dual Camera setup and Fingerprint reader. The most interesting thing is that there is no Branding on the phone anywhere at all.

Truly a monster in terms of specs, this beast sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset alongside Adreno 540 GPU, 4 GB of RAM and a whopping 128 GB of Internal Memory. The display being an edge to edge display (has a small chin at the bottom though!) is a 2560 x 1312 pixel resolution in a 5.71 inch screen with a 19:10 aspect ratio. An 8MP front facing camera with 4K recording capabilities and a 13MP Dual camera setup with f/1.8 aperture at the back will be a delight to the smartphone photographers out there.
360 degree camera module
With a 3040 mAh battery, lets hope it gives us a day. It also features a USB Type C but NO 3.5 mm headphone jack (why!!). It will run Android 7.1.1 out of the box and includes NFC capabilities.

The Essential Phone is said to be a modular phone being able to connect upcoming essential modules via the two metal connector ports at the back.

The Essential Smartphone is up for preorders in the U.S.A for $699, there is also an introductory offer featuring the Essential 360-degree camera module which will cost $749. The phone comes in four colours: Black Moon, Stellar Grey, Arctic White and Ocean Depths. Also Sprint will be the exclusive carrier for the Essential Phone. At Code Conference 2017, Andy Rubin said that the phones will start shipping by the end of this month.
